Here’s a talk I have often given to individuals and some groups, but have never written down: My tips on how to grow and maintain your brand on social media.
Now a presentation I’m scheduled to give to the social media staff of Health by Design has spurred me to put together a Power Point slide deck. Just going to put this right here for myself and anyone else who needs it!
For this project done for my Foundations of Digital Production class at IUPUI, I had to demonstrate 1) knowledge of how to implement green screen effects and 2) effective creation of motion graphics. It’s pretty short.
The green screen effect was the easy part. I used a still of a stormy field for the backdrop for a keyed sequence shot with a girl’s head and shoulders against a green background.
For the motion graphics, I then added the sun-like object and brand and tag titles animated to rise and appear to the left side. I added a dark-to-light and blur-to-focus effect on the still to complement the otherworldly vibe.
My team for N501, Foundations of Digital Production, is creating a promo video and website for a product in order to showcase the video, 3-D and other techniques we will learn this semester.
Our choice: Plated.com, a service that will deliver to your door an entire meal-in-a-box. In order to research the product for our project, I ordered two plates of two different meals from the service. I enjoyed unboxing this package of goodies today!
Have you used Plated.com? How about Blue Apron, Hello Fresh or other food-delivery services? What is your opinion of this type of web-order product?
